In a stanza, you can have 3-4 lines. And you can have 6 syllables in a line. It's also important to have a theme for a song, e.g you life, love, your dog, etc.
This song that i composed was about Bill Kaulitz, when i still believed about the balderdash Audrina fed to me. But still, she made my life a bit wonderful even though i lived in a lie. It was during a time when Bill was still looking cool with his lion mane and he never dares to wear much girlier clothes unlike the present.
